Ryan Ellsworth
Ryan Ellsworth is an Oregon Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), and he brings 28 years of experience with addiction and long-term recovery to the therapy room. Before entering the addiction and mental health field, Ryan was born and raised in the Portland area, and graduated from Portland State University for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Ryan spent the early years of his career providing youth and family counseling, as well as working with adjudicated/incarcerated youth and their families. Ryan spent some of his formative years as a therapist developing his skills and strengths by working with incarcerated men in the residential addictions treatment setting. Later, he supplemented his professional development by working as a mobile, acute mental health crisis first responder. He then moved into multiple social work roles on multidisciplinary addiction consult services working in the hospital setting.
In addition to his Counselor role at Anonymous Health, Ryan is on faculty with a national program for improved addiction care in the hospital setting. In this role as a clinical specialty expert, he provides training and education for multi-disciplinary medical providers.
