Kevin Enloe
Born and raised in Alaska, Kevin Enloe is a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCSW) and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDCI). He is certified in Trauma Informed Care and Practice (TICP) and is Clinical Military Counselor Certified (CMCC). Kevin completed graduate school at the University of Alaska Anchorage with his undergrad at University of Fairbanks, where he was the recipient of the Dr. Gerald S. Bermans Founders Award. More importantly, he is a person in long-term recovery.
Kevin’s first pro-active adventure into wellness was in creating an exercise recovery group for men exiting prison called Recovery In Action (RIA). This led to being a founding member of the Juneau Recovery Community and a grassroots member of the Juneau Reentry Coalition, helping to raise awareness and break the stigma of addiction while providing volunteer services to the community. During his time on the Reentry Committee, he spoke at several Senate committees in support of new legislation around prison reform and the benefits of treatment over incarceration, primarily Senate Bill 91. In 2014, Kevin helped procure funding for and participate in Southeast Alaska’s first ever Recovery Fest, which brought addiction and recovery into the light, showcasing what a vibrant recovery community looks like. He was peer certified in 2014 through the McShin Foundation and was first employed as a wellness coach in 2015, the same year he went back to school for social work.
Kevin completed his Master’s Degree in social work in 2019 and began working with diverse populations with Serious Mental Illness (SMI’s) and substance abuse issues. He eventually went back to providing therapy to formally incarcerated people in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. During this time, Kevin was instrumental in creating several programs and protocols to address ‘gaps’ in services, such as: creating and implementing a Crisis Response Protocol for the Behavioral Health program at a Reentry facility, co-developing and Clinical Supervisor of an ASAM LOC 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) program next to a men’s sober living home, and co-developing an ASAM LOC 3.1 residential program for men and women who need a long-term supportive living environment to ensure recovery success.
Kevin is currently working on his BCII certification in Neurofeedback, as well as getting his Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certification. He is practiced in motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, addiction therapy, reentry care, harm reduction approaches, wellness and mindfulness.
