Cass Pook
Cass Pook is a counselor with her MSW that has 20 years of experience with substance abuse addictions, suicide prevention and crisis interventions.
Before entering the addiction and mental health field, Cass was born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, a beautiful community nestled in Southeast Alaska. Cass graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage where she earned her MSW degree, and undergraduate degree from the University of Fairbanks and University of St. Louis, Missouri.
Cass spent the early years of her career providing care to adults/youth in residential treatment facilities, as well as facilitating clients with art projects to connect with who they are culturally and to make positive connections to who they are and who they can become. Cass is Alaska Native (Tlingit) and believes that knowing and understanding a person’s experience of historical trauma is the key to unlocking the door to survival. Cass is gifted in intuition and listening to build positive outcomes and success for individuals.
