Her career began as a Patient Care Technician at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in New York, where she served for three years. She then worked as a Registered Nurse in the vascular surgery unit at Albany Medical Center before moving on to Koinonia Primary Care, where she was a volunteer nurse before moving into a role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Elaine was also a Nurse Practitioner at SP Health at Honolulu, HI, where she offered her care and support to students at Hawaii Pacific University, then moved on to MD Triage in California, delivering primary care to patients.

Elaine's devotion to a career in the field of substance abuse treatment is born of her intensive commitment to the field, which aligns with her long-term aspirations to make a positive impact on those struggling with addiction and finding the courage to walk the road to recovery.
